More than 60 parishioners have dedicated themselves to leading the music of our liturgies as part of St. Michael's Adult Choir.
About the Choir
The Adult Choir sings the main Sunday Eucharist throughout the year, and offers Choral Evensong as well as occasional performances of larger choral works.
Singing in the choir requires good music reading skills, as well as a voice that blends well with others. The choir works toward a pure, vibrant and expressive tone, suitable for the English cathedral music that is the core of the choir's standard repertoire.
Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 7:15 p.m. Each fall, the choir goes on a weekend retreat for concentrated rehearsal of music for the especially busy seasons of Advent and Christmas.
On tours to England, the Adult Choir sang with the choir of Guildford Cathedral as well as a sister parish in Sandhurst.
Kevin Kerstetter conducts the choir, which is accompanied by Associate Organist, Brock Downward.
Several of the choir's singers enjoy attending the Royal School of Church Music's Carolina Course each summer.
Please contact our Organist/Choirmaster directly if you are interested in being part of the Adult Choir.
