Our Choirs
The Adult Choir
St. Michael’s Adult Choir is a skilled and dedicated group of singers who sing the main Eucharist each Sunday, in addition to Choral Evensong, Sung Compline, and special seasonal liturgies. Singing a broad range of sacred music from the Renaissance to the finest works of modern composers, the choir enjoys a special emphasis on music from the English cathedral tradition.

St. Cecilia Girls Choir
Girls in grades 6-12
Our middle and high school girls make a beautiful sound singing substantial, rewarding music. They develop strong music reading skills and further refine their clear, energized sound. The St. Cecilia Choir sings frequently with the adults, and enjoys singing Choral Evensong. Several girls attend the Royal School of Church Music's Carolina Course for Girls and Adults, held each summer at Duke University. The St. Cecilia Girls Choir is conducted by Kevin Kerstetter and Katie Miller.
St. Gregory Boychoir
Boys in grades 4-8
The St. Gregory Boychoir offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for boys to use their extraordinary treble voices, singing music composed with their unique sound in mind. Many of the boys play sports and/or a musical instrument in addition to singing in the choir. Being part of a team that is committed to musical excellence prepares them for other worthwhile endeavors. The St. Gregory Boychoir is conducted by Kevin Kerstetter and Katie Miller.
Canterbury Girls Choir
Girls in grades 3-5
Directed by Katie Miller and Kevin Kerstetter, these girls learn to sing in a wonderfully refined way and become rather sophisticated young musicians. They develop their music reading skills and expand their vocal range. The girls have a sense of commitment to their important role in worship, and have a great time working together to sing lovely music.
Beckwith Choir
Boys in grades 1-3 & girls in grades 1-2
Directed by Melissa Raley, the Beckwith Choir enjoys singing in a fun, educational rehearsal setting that emphasizes teamwork and fundamental music skills. They sing anthems throughout the choir season, and ring handbells occasionally. The Beckwith Choir is a lively group of choristers with an eagerness to offer their very best in worship.
All Angels Choir
Boys and girls 4 years of age (by August 31) and kindergarten
Directed by Kim Cadwallader, assisted by Ely Neely, the All Angels Choir provides a great beginning to our youngest singers’ musical journey. The boys and girls do some impressive singing several times each season. In their rehearsals, they learn to work together, match pitch and experience rhythm. Children must be 4 years of age by August 31 to sing in the All Angels Choir.
Teen Boys
Teen boys with changed voices (typically age 14 and above) and good music reading skills should contact Kevin Kerstetter about being part of the Adult Choir.
