Adult Choir singers at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, Raleigh

The Adult Choir

About the Choir

The Adult Choir sings the main Eucharist each Sunday of the year, and offers Choral Evensong during the regular choir season.

Singing in this choir requires good music reading skills, and a voice that blends well with others. The choir works toward a pure, vibrant and expressive tone, suitable for the English cathedral music that forms the core of the choir's standard repertoire.

Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.  Each fall, the choir goes on a weekend retreat for concentrated rehearsal of music for the busy seasons of Advent and Christmas.

On tours to England, the Adult Choir sang with the choir of Guildford Cathedral as well as a sister parish in Sandhurst.

Our Organist/Choirmaster Kevin Kerstetter conducts the Adult Choir.

Several of the choir's singers enjoy attending the Royal School of Church Music's Carolina Course each summer.

Please contact our Organist/Choirmaster directly if you are interested in being part of the Adult Choir.
